ACTE
, the Association for Career and Technical Education, is a national association with more than 38,000 members who represent subject areas ranging from business education to health occupations education to the skilled trades. They are teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, university professors, state/local employees, and students at middle, secondary and post-secondary educational levels.

The Armed Forces Industrial College has some good information on the construction industry. Written in 2000, but gives a comprehensive overview.

Education World was created as a home for educators on the Internet, a place where teachers could gather and share ideas. It is an online resource where educators can find career information as well as lesson plans.

NCCER, the National Center for Construction Education and Research, is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)education foundation. NCCER develops and publishes standardized construction, maintenance and pipeline curricula; safety programs; management education; construction industry image materials; and craft skills assessments.

The National Building Museumin Washington, DC, is dedicated to exploring and celebrating architecture, design, engineering, construction, and urban planning.

Skills USA is a national organization serving a quarter-million high school and college students and professional members who are enrolled in technical, skilled, and service occupations nationwide.
